Gloucestershire Conservatives are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to join our team in the Gloucestershire Conservative Grouping, based in the Gloucester Business Park at Junction 11A of the M5.

You will be working in one of the most successful groupings of Conservative Associations, covering the Cotswolds, Tewkesbury, Forest of Dean, Gloucester, Cheltenham and Stroud constituencies. As a campaign hub, we provide campaign expertise and support to all political candidates, elected representatives and party organisations in the County.

 

About you:

As part of a young and dynamic team, you will be the first point of contact for organising, initiating and driving campaign activities all around Gloucestershire. Ideally, you will have gathered some first-hand experience of campaigning and are comfortable in engaging with members of the public. Your daily tasks will include:

·       Assist in the on-going voter contact programme
·       Help to organise literature, leaflets and delivering information
·       Work with the local Party to help organise political meetings, fundraising events and campaign activity
·       Provide help and support to the Gloucestershire Conservative Group Office as appropriate to ensure the smooth running of administration
·       Manage, recruit and maintain a base of local volunteers
·       Act as Election Agent for Local Government candidates
·       Occasionally attend meetings during the evening
·       Assist candidates with starting and maintaining their social media presences
 

The successful candidate will have:

·       Excellent interpersonal skills
·       A self-starting attitude with the ability to take initiative
·       Excellent organisation skills and the ability to work towards tight deadlines
·       A reliable, approachable and adaptable attitude
·       Strong written and oral communication skills
·       The ability to work within a team
·       A flexible approach to out of hours working patterns
·       Full class A driving licence and access to a car
·       Be sympathetic towards the aims and values of the Conservative Party

 

Desirable

·      First experience in political campaigning
·      Experience with Facebook advertising and targeting
·      Experience with InDesign

Interviews to take place via Zoom from the week commencing 30th November

Start date: Ideally January 1st
