Our plan for the Forest of Dean

Conservatives will continue to invest in roads making travel safer with less congestion.  We will work to ensure all roads users feel safe on local roads.

Conservatives will work with partners to deliver economic growth throughout the district including development of Lydney Docks, Cinderford Northern Quarter and Five Acres Coleford. Town and village businesses will be supported to adapt to changing retail spending patterns.

Conservatives will continue to seek fast broadband speeds for every community and push for better mobile network coverage.

Conservatives will continue to keep council tax low taking from residents only what is necessary to deliver excellent services.

Conservatives will help protect the heritage, landscape and ecology of the Forest of Dean. We will promote steps to reduce carbon emissions.

Conservatives will work with partners to ensure children throughout the Forest of Dean have a good place to grow, learn and develop confidence. 

Working with the County Council and retailers to end landfill in Gloucestershire, reduce product packaging and further improve the reuse and recycling of waste products.

Conservatives will help to build community resilience in areas such as loneliness, dementia and support activity for better health.
