I am proud to stand as the Conservative candidate for Lansdown at May’s borough elections and bring thirty years of lived experience in the heart of Cheltenham. Having built my life, family, and career here, I understand the unique character of our town — from the huge range of businesses to the peaceful green spaces that make Cheltenham such a special place to call home.
Throughout my three decades working in the NHS and the community, I have seen firsthand the challenges facing local services and society. I am passionate about safeguarding the essential services residents rely on — from waste collection and housing support to community amenities and neighbourhood safety, including the police’s presence on our streets. I believe that strong local services are the backbone of a thriving town and am committed to ensuring they remain accessible, efficient, and properly funded. So, no more LibDem vanity projects, one of which costed £4 million more than the original budget.
Environmental protection is equally close to my heart. I recognise that Cheltenham’s parks, tree-lined streets, and surrounding countryside are not just beautiful but vital to residents’ wellbeing and the town’s future prosperity. I will champion practical environmental initiatives, support sustainable development, and work to protect green spaces for generations to come.
Above all, I believe in listening and want residents’ voices to shape the decisions made in the council chamber. With deep roots in the community and a clear commitment to protecting what matters most, I am asking for your support to protect what matters and make Cheltenham a great place to live, work and play.
