Please attend Channel 4's Local Election debate and help ensure that the country hears Conservative voices and a good level of suport for our policies and politicians.
Channel 4 News is the first network to confirm plans for a national TV debate of the main parties contending in upcoming local elections.
‘The UK Decides: Local Elections Debate’ will take place on Thursday 25 April in Gloucester ahead of polling stations opening on 2 May in England.
The television event from the national daily news programme comes as part of Channel 4 News’ ongoing political coverage in the lead up to the general election, expected to take place later this year.
A small, representative studio audience will have the opportunity to pose questions to party representatives, in the live debate hosted by presenter Krishnan Guru-Murthy.
It will be very important for us to make sure that Conservatives voices are heard in the audience and so we would encourage all Conservative Party members to attend this event and to support our politicians on the panel.
We are unsure of the format of the programme at this stage, but if you are accepted as an attendee at this event and you are keen to ask a question, please do feel free to contact us at the Innsworth Hub (contact details on this website) to run the question past us so that we can help you tailor it for maximum impact.
‘The UK Decides: Local Elections Debate’ will be broadcast on Channel 4 News on Thursday 25 April at 7pm GMT and across the programme’s digital channels.
Audiences can register their interest by emailing Channel 4 at c4.audiences@itn.co.uk.
